School Bells - KMPS School Uniform

Please ensure all uniform, including shoes, are clearly labelled.

Jewellery/watches/nail varnish/make up

The wearing of jewellery is not permitted.  One small pair of ear studs may be worn but must be removed by the child for PE and swimming lessons.  School staff are not able to remove them.  If the child cannot remove them, they must be taken out by parents before school.  It is the child’s responsibility to keep their ear studs in a safe place when removed as the school cannot be responsible for any loss or damage.  It is recommended that ear piercing takes place at the beginning of the summer break to allow healing to take place before returning to school.

Long hair should be tied back. Watches/fitness straps may be worn by pupils in KS2 but is discouraged, as school cannot be responsible for any loss or breakage. Make up and nail varnish is not permitted.  Pupils wearing make up or nail varnish to school will be asked to remove it.

Toys / Mobile Phones / Other Belongings

Children should not bring other belongings or toys from home.

Children whose parents have granted permission to walk home alone (in year 6, or after May in Year 5) might choose to bring a mobile phone to school. We do not recommend this. Children will be expected to hand in mobile phones as they arrive at school. Mobile phones should not be used under any circumstance on the school site. Please note any loss, breakage or theft of phones (even if collected in or confiscated by the school) will be at the owner's risk. The school does not accept liability for any personal belongings.
